Happy Birthday Sliced Bread!
Today is a day to celebrate! That's right, today is sliced breads birthday!! LOL! No, seriosuly it really is. Remember that expression, "you think you're the best thing since sliced bread?" If someone tells you that today, you can proudly tell them, yes I do!
Sliced bread is a loaf of bread which has been pre-sliced and packaged for convenience. It was first sold in 1924 and took four years to become the "norm", advertised as "the greatest forward step in the baking industry since bread was wrapped".
Otto Frederick Rohwedder of Davenport, Iowa, USA invented the first loaf-at-a-time bread-slicing machine. A prototype he built in 1912 was destroyed in a fire and it was not until 1928 that Rohwedder had a fully working machine ready. The first commercial use of the machine was by the Chillicothe Baking Company of Chillicothe, Missouri, which produced their first slices on July 7, 1928. Their product, "Kleen Maid Sliced Bread", proved a success.

Beyonce Has The # 1 Album!!!
It’s official – Beyonce’s fourth solo studio album, “4,” enters the Billboard 200 albums chart at No. 1, selling 310,000 copies according to Nielsen SoundScan.
The album is her fourth solo No. 1, and fourth studio set to top the list. She’s only the third act — and second woman — to see their first four studio albums debut atop the Billboard 200. Britney Spears did it with her first four between 1999 and 2003 while DMX’s first five all started at No. 1 between 1998 and 2003
“4′s” sales launch is lowest of her four releases: 2008′s “I Am … Sasha Fierce” entered with 482,000; 2006′s “B’Day” bowed with 541,000 and 2003′s “Dangerously In Love” started with 317,000.
According to Billboard, the lack of a smash hit single on”4″ thus far could help explain the album’s softer entry. Its lead track, “Run the World (Girls),” peaked at No. 29 on the Billboard Hot 100 — the first time the first single from a Beyonce studio set has missed the top 10.
Still, “4′s” bow is pretty big for 2011. It marks the third-largest sales week of the year, after the No. 1 bows of Lady Gaga’s “Born This Way” (1.1 million) and Adele’s “21″ (351,000).

Paul McCartney Does Not Like Yankovic's Recent Spoof
"Weird Al" Yankovic has revealed that Paul McCartney didn't approve his parody of "Live and Let Die" because the funnyman wanted to rename it "Chicken Pot Pie." The vegetarian McCartney didn't care for the meat-based title.
Yankovic tells ESPN's podcast "The B.S. Report," "He didn't want a song used in any context that would be supposedly promoting the consumption of animal flesh ... It's a valid reason and I get it. And I hate it when people put him on the list of humorless guys, because that wasn't the case at all. In fact, he said, 'Think of any other subject and I'm happy to OK it.'"
Yankovic has famously spoofed many well-known songs during his career, including "Beat It" by Michael Jackson and Nirvana's "Smells Like Teen Spirit." and Lady Gaga's "Born This Way."

No More House Arrest For Edwin Edwards
BATON ROUGE.—As his house arrest ends Wednesday, Louisiana's charismatic former Gov. Edwin Edwards isn't planning for a quiet retirement. Instead, he's readying for his third wedding, a book tour and a grand 84th birthday and coming-out party later this month. He's even in talks for a possible reality TV show.
Despite serving eight years in prison for a scheme to rig riverboat casino licenses, the four-term former governor who dominated Louisiana's political scene for decades will emerge from home detention with no signs his popularity has ebbed.
Edwards' new Facebook page, launched only a few weeks ago, quickly maxed out at 5,000 "friends," including supporters who post old photos of Edwards' political career and voters who say they wish he could put his name on the state ballot.
"Welcome back Governor!! Really wish you could run again. I'd definitely vote for you again!!!" one supporter wrote. Another said, "I'd vote for you in a heartbeat." Another added, "Governor Edwards, please run for governor again. I am sure you will win. Louisiana needs you."
Someone posted a homemade campaign sign touting Edwin Edwards for governor in 2011.
To the suggestions, Edwards wrote, "Thank you very much and I'm glad they won't let me run ... Otherwise I might be tempted!"
Edwards went to prison in October 2002 in a bribery and extortion case in the awarding of riverboat casino licenses during his final term, which ended in 1996. Edwards has maintained his innocence.
He'll be on probation for three years. Edwards will end his home detention — which he served in his daughter's home in the Baton Rouge suburbs — in a low-key fashion, by filling out forms with the halfway house where he's been reporting since January.
During his time behind bars, Edwards divorced his second wife, Candy, and struck up a new relationship with Trina Grimes Scott, from Alexandria, who is now engaged to the former governor.
Scott, in her early 30s, was celebrating the near-end of Edwards' home incarceration Tuesday, posting on her Facebook site, "One more day between us and freedom!!!"
Wow! I guess it's never too late to get your life back.

Tina Turner Shot Michael Jackson's Brother
Above is a picture of Randy Jackson. Member of the late great group, The Jackson 5 and brother to King of Pop, Michael Jackson.
On Saturday, via twitter, Randy tweeted that musical icon and diva, Tina Turner shot him! The incident happened in the late 80's according to Randy's tweet. Randy's tweet went on to say that he showed up at Tina's house looking for his girlfriend.
"I guess I caught them off guard. Hmmm...." he wrote. Still, he says he doesn't hold a grudge and went right back to talking about the vast conspiracy behind his brother's death two years ago last week.
Why Randy? Why even bring this up? What purpose did this serve?? Hmmm... It seems to me that many of the Jackson's do and say things just to keep a little media buzz around their name. Well, guess what, it's working, but who really cares?
