Wal-Mart Gives Aretha Franklin A Jump Start

The Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin, wow! This is Aretha's new album cover.  Of course this picture was taken before Aretha's massive weight lost.  For 69 yrs. old, she looks great!  Now, how is Wal-Mart giving Aretha a jump start....

Walmart as well as walmart.com shoppers will get a jump on buying Aretha Franklin's new album, "Aretha: A Woman Falling Out of Love," on May 3, according to the Queen of Soul's own Aretha Records. The album, featuring 11 new tracks (plus a bonus track), will be available in digital form at iTunes and other Web retailers on June 3.

The debut single will be "How Long I've Waited," and the album also includes a version of B.B. King's "Sweet Sixteen," a favorite of Franklin's; her son Eddie's rendition of the gospel song "His Eye Is on the Sparrow"; and a bonus track of Franklin singing "My Country 'Tis of Thee," which she performed at the 2009 Presidential Inauguration in Washington, D.C.

Via her record company, the Queen of Soul offered some free advice to all women to go with her new album:
"OK, ladies, take a good look at the photo of me on this album; this is how you're supposed to look when you're a woman falling out of love. Don't sit by the phone waiting for him to call you, girlfriend. I want you to listen very closely to the lyrics of the songs on this album and you'll hear a few good tips. Go out and have a ball! — Love always, Ree Ree."
